Advocates for the Arts (AFTA) is a non-profit organization formed in 1993 with the mission to help support visual and performing arts in Solano County.

Each year, AFTA holds several fundraisers which enable it to donate funds to many worthy art programs and organizations in Solano County, including Solano Symphony, Fairfield Visual Arts Association, Harbor Theatre and Solano Community College Theatre.

In 2008, AFTA distributed more than $48,000 in scholarships and grants to community art organizations and programs. AFTA’s Board of Directors screened many worthy requests and voted to support the following:

• Crocker Art Museum Association 2008-2009 Art Ark Mobile Art – Education Program
